Rob splits his time between his Dorset art studio, being Principal of Art Academy London
, an independent art school and charity based in London Bridge, and exhibiting internationally.
In galleries, museums and private collections, Rob has a worldwide audience for his work. With a strong reputation for quality, scale and a professional finish, he has undertaken numerous high-profile commissions; in 2018, two original works by Rob were presented as a British state gift from Prime Minister Teresa May to President Xi Jinping in her visit to China.
His range of commissions also include; creating a design for electronics company Xiaomi to use on its Mi Mix 3 smartphone; depicting the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee flotilla in London for the BBC, which was then made into a tapestry; creating a large painting and exhibition to mark the opening of China Resources Group’s new headquarters in Shenzhen; and finally, his designs were used to create a 25’ cast iron bridge across Regents Canal, London.
